Your Transplant Team
Last updated on: 3/24/2025
You may have many questions and concerns during this time and the technical information can get overwhelming. Transplant nurse coordinators are your primary point of contact in the transplant program.
They are available to answer questions and provide guidance during your treatment process.
During this time, you will get to know a lot of people. They will join what will become your “transplant team”, or the number of people that will be coordinating around your care during the time you receive a stem cell transplant.
The following people make up your transplant team:
- Most importantly, YOU and your caregivers
- Nurses-both inpatient and outpatient
- Physicians, fellows, and nurse practitioners
- Transplant nurse coordinators
- Social workers
- Dietician
- Dentist and dental hygienists
- Psychiatrists
- Lab specialists
- Pharmacists
- Financial coordinators
- Insurance company case manager
